Credit Unions: Membership Flagging, Loan Portfolio Growth in Decline
New Company offers Aggressive, Pro-Active approach to Expanding Credit Union Auto Loan Portfolios

Slidell, Louisiana-- May 9th, 2011-- Credit Unions, in an effort to combat the decline in New Auto Loans have implemented Auto Buying “Help Desks” and increased efforts to recruit “Preferred Dealers” with or without “Indirect” agreements within their Membership Universe. Some are contracting with external Membership Buying Services.

David Bottner founding partner said, “These are steps in the right direction, to take advantage of the resurgence in automobile sales. However, they are utilizing Passive Services, relying on the self-motivated member, Broad stroke advertising efforts by local, Dealerships or the traditional Annual in house Special Event (Parking Lot Sale)”.

American Credit Union Auto Auctions (ACUAA) has introduced an aggressive and pro-active strategy, utilizing “state of the art” Direct Response Marketing pointed toward an Online vehicle auction conducted utilizing a “static”, continued bidding platform (similar to the eBay motors model) culminating with a “Live Streaming” auction in real time with a live auctioneer using ACUAA’s proprietary software.

ACUAA co-founder David Gehring says, “With the recovery of the U.S. auto industry, Credit Unions should be seeing an up-tick in auto loan growth, but it’s not happening; At least not at a rate commensurate with Public Lending Institutions Nationwide.
Part of the problem is pre-qualified Credit Union auto shoppers are presented with at least 5 alternative loan options, most benefiting the Dealer. We aim to cure both issues.”
